Letter To My Daughters





This art journal page was created with my girls as my inspiration! I used my Color Play 3 kits and Cilenia Curtis' Flower Child to create this piece. My Color Play 3 kits, along with coordinating kits from the other designers, are on sale through tomorrow for $1.50 each!

August Art Blessing

When I logged in on my blog, I couldn't believe it had been an entire month since I last visited. Summer is now coming to an end, school is starting back up, I finished classes and training for a new job, my oldest daughter started collage, and things are beginning to slow down again. Finally!

When life slows down, that means there will be so much more time for creating. More time for scrapbooking, art journaling, painting, collage, and even playing just for fun! It feels like I've kept my "self" tucked away for most of the summer while life has been so busy and full of transitions. I'm looking forward to all of the new places I will go and the things I will see as my creative spirit is once again able to fly free!

If you missed the month of July's art blessing, it is because I put it on my Facebook page instead of here on my blog. It is still available and can be downloaded from my page here.

For the month of August, I am giving away an 8.5x11 printable collage sheet. All of the images are 2 inch squares and can be used over and over again! They work great for dominos, pendants, magnets, altered books, jewelry making, handmade cards, bookmarks, stickers, collage, etc. You are only limited by your imagination!

Turning Point

So many times in my life I have reached what looked like was an ending. I would wonder why? Why me? Why is this happening to me? Why am I here in this place? I didn’t want it to be the end yet. The story didn’t feel finished, yet due to things that were out of my control, I arrived at what appeared to be the end of the story.

In the midst of my sadness and in the midst of all of the pain, there was always a faint light. It might not have been noticable if I wouldn’t have looked for it, but it was there just waiting to be discovered. And when I followed that light, I saw new paths heading in directions I didn’t know even existed. It was in those moments when I realized that every ending is truly a new beginning.

Even if you come to a dead end, look around you, look for way to start a new path right in that place where the road ends. It is never the end unless you decide it is the end. It is never the end unless you give up and quit trying. Sometimes you have to work really hard to discover why you are in the place you are in, and then find a way to move in a new direction. But. There is always a way. Always.

For this layout I used my Follow Your Art - Turning Point bundle.

June Blog Blessing

I hope that your summer is off to a great start! I have been so busy that I haven't really had time to get outside and enjoy it, but I'm okay with that lol. Iowa heat and humidy has to be one of my least favorite things EVER! :)

I wanted to give you an art blessing for June before June got away from me! I created two papers for you to use in your art journals, personal collages, and scrapbooking pages. I used my bundles Create It and Spring Fling Fearless to create these and they are for personal use only. I hope you have fun with them!

WOW, everyone knocked our socks off! I am so humbled and over joyed at the responses we received.
